If you own a 2003 Chevy Avalanche or similar GM vehicle, don’t attempt to change your own transmission fluid and filter. If you’re a professional with a vehicle lift and all that jazz you might be fine, but otherwise I would take it to a shop somewhere.
I spent 5 hours helping my dad change his today after work. It was a filthy, bloody, frustrating nightmare. Its definitly not as easy as it was in the 70’s and 80’s; vehicles have changed a lot since then. We both learned a lot about the truck today, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. There’s a reason I never opted to be a mechanic . . .
There will be no other posts tonight as I am completely drained of all life. In fact, I’m laying in bed as I type this, barely holding my eyes open. Ill resume the survival updates and other posts tomorrow.
Thanks for understanding and goodnight.
